Yesterday I was blessed to take 8 men from Clayton TC to 12Stone church for worship, and then to Steak N Shake to share a meal. These men are in their last stage of prison, and part of what I get to do is to help them get some "normal" in their lives; which, in this case, is the most important for them, getting grounded in God's word. The message was perfect for these men. How do we use our calendar and manage our time? Is God first, as He should be? Great teaching PK. I am a Chaplain and my duty is to help these men prepare to go home and stay home in any way I can. Best job I have ever had!!

In the picture I will post below is a man, Jerome Blakely, pictured with his mother. I spent a lot of time with him at Clayton Transitional Center. He has been to prison many times, and others said he would go right back. He has been out for 2 1/2 years, has struggled but has also persevered. He calls me all the time just so I know he is doing well and not in any trouble. It is amazing when these men know someone has their back, they can do well and move forward. I am Blessed to walk with them as the transition back into society. God has Blessed me immensely with this ministry. I am pictured with Jerome's wonderful mother in the first picture, and Jerome in the 2nd.
I started 2018 by taking 9 men from Clayton Transitional center to chaplain Sue's church, Chief Cornerstone Ministries to celebrate her 30 years of work in Ministry!! It was a wonderful service. Many people spoke, including myself. She has blazed a path and has shown all who have spent time with her what Commitment is ALL about. Yesterday I was accompanied by Tony Laniewicz to travel with me to Dalton Georgia to visit one of the men I spent time with at Clayton TC, James Zink. He has been in the FREE world for 9 months, is doing well, working a part time job, taking care of his elderly mother, and he has done a wonderful job fixing up his mother's home. When our parents are older and need help, it is our responsibility to care for them, not just stick them in a nursing home (unless it is medically necessary). James has shown great resolve in doing his duty. It was a wonderful day and I am truly Blessed to be doing God's work as a Chaplai
