Published by Helpone Saveone · Just now · Last week I enjoyed a wonderful vacation with my bride of 7 years in Savannah, Georgia. Yesterday it was back to work taking 10 men from Clayton Transitional center to the Dugout men's group. We saw a few short video's about how the man is to lead the family in a Godly manner, as the Bible tells us to do. From there it was off to the Eyes of Love Lighthouse mission for a few hours of community service work sorting clothes and placing the on the racks. We enjoyed Little Caesar's pizza for lunch and Dairy Queen for dessert, then back to the TC. The point of Dugout is to talk about how, as men we are supposed to be family leaders, and the community service is to show how we give back to the community. These men always knock out a ton of work in just a few short hours. God is good!

We cooked 320 hamburgers and 360 hot dogs and left with an empty van! Chaplain Sue and Counselor Sweatman provided chips, twix candy bars, cookies and tea for all of the men. Mr. Mike and Mr. Lanson from Jonesboro First Baptist provided provided some preaching, as well as Josh Lepock, who is now running our Dugout men's group also preached. I was assisted by Wayne Wasmus and several of the men at the TC to cook all of the food, The Jordan B band played music along with a small contingent band from the center provided wonderful and Godly entertainment. The whole day centered around God's provision of everything, and we were able to glorify that with a wonderful day of worship and fellowship. Thanks goes to The Man, Mr. McCard, superintendent for allowing us to do this for these men! It was just plain Awesome!! Help One Save One, Inc
Published by Helpone Saveone · 5 mins · I will be having our 2nd music day for the men at Clayton TC this Saturday from 11am to 4pm. I will have three men with instruments playing some wonderful music; we will also have hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and tea for the men. It is a treat for many who get to go out to work, but don't get to go out to church or community service. We will be joined by Jonesboro First Baptist and Chaplain Sue. It will be awesome to bring the Love of God to these men through music, food, worship, and Michael from Jonesboro First Baptist doing some preaching. If anyone who reads this would like to donate toward the expense of food to feed 300, please go to my website: helponesaveone.net, hit the store key, choose an amount and click purchase. Published by Helpone Saveone · 4 mins · I took 10 men to church yesterday at the 1pm service for 12Stone. It was a perfect sermon for everyone, especially these men that are about to complete their time for their bad choices. It will help them move forward by owning their choice, repenting and taking it to God. They know have a clean slate to move forward by God's plan, not their plan. Four of the men have never been to 12Stone, or for that matter, to outside church in many years. They were inspired by the music and worship, and prepared for their next steps by the message. Fulfillment comes easy when I see how impactful church and worship can inspire these men!! Help One Save One, IncPublished by Helpone Saveone · May 23 at 9:31am ·
I took 11 men from Clayton TC to hear Christopher Reaves speak at his church, Center Hill Baptist Church of Gratis in Monroe yesterday for the 6pm service. Chris preached about The Power of God and how God empowers us to do great work for God and His Glory. Chris gave an Outstanding sermon, and the church was filled to capacity. Most of the ministries that help at Clayton were in attendance. It is a wonderful testimony about God's power to redeem, and it shows in how Chris now lives his life. It is a wonderful example and goal for the men at Clayton. Follow God and he will make your path straight and righteous! Help One Save One, IncPublished by Taylor Davis · May 16 at 10:31am ·
I was notified last week that Help One Save One, and other faith based groups that work together at Clayton Transitional Center will be getting an award and recognition from the Department of Corrections, State of Georgia for our work, as a group, at Clayton: The CTC Volunteer Committee has been selected as one of Georgia Department of Corrections’ Faith Based Contributor of the Year! We will be hosting an Annual Awards Ceremony on June 9th at 9:30am in Roberts Chapel at State Offices South at Tift College in Forsyth, Ga (300 Patrol Road), and we invite you to attend so we can recognize your company! Could you please inform Taylor Davis of Help One, Save One; Lanson Newsome and Michael Flournoy of House of Hope, D. Sue DeBord of Mercy Outreach; and Bridge Cruse of Open Word Church? God occasionally gives us nuggets of encouragement for the work we are doing for HIM. This would be one of those nuggets!! Help One Save One, IncPublished by Taylor Davis · May 16 at 10:28am ·
This past Saturday I took 11 men to Dugout, a large men's group that includes men from at least 3 churches. We heard from a man named Jeremy, who detailed his story of being a potential professional athlete, to now, living life in a wheelchair, from a motocross accident about 10 years ago. It teaches us that we never know what the next day holds for us! The main scripture used was Romans 12:12: Be Joyful in hope, Patient in affliction, Faithful in prayer. (NIV). We did not have a community service project so we dined together at Golden Corral. I had four new men with me for this outing. All were greatly appreciative of the opportunity, not just to go on an outing, but to have their spiritual level lifted up to God through a wonderful and strong men's group. God is Good!! I was unable to take a group of men from Clayton TC this past saturday to Dugout men's group. It was the 5th weekend for April, and they do not allow passes for those weekends. I attended Dugout with those that were able to attend. This weekend sort of worked-out. We did not have a community service project this weekend, and I was able to get some much needed rest. God works out everything for our benefit and His glory! This ministry does run by donations. We use 100% of the funds raised to run this ministry. I am down to myself and one volunteer, John Berry, and we have not received any pay for two years. We love this work, but we need the support of those that view this page, and anyone else that may have an interest, please forward the link to them. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and all donations are tax deductible. Please see the info for our Plumfund below. God Bless! A Must See! Help One Save One, IncPublished by Helpone Saveone · April 4 · This past Saturday we were back to schedule and the men from Clayton Transitional Center (their last stage of prison), attended Dugout Men's group, and then on to community service at Eyes of Love LIghthouse mission. I would love to take the guys from Phillips State, but they are currently, not allowed to go out. These 7 men knocked out 6 hours of work in half the time. The mission struggles to find volunteer help, so these men come out to gladly help. It gives them a taste of the freedom they will soon enjoy, while it also gives them perspective that they will also need help once they are back in the Free World. It also teaches them that we are a give and take society, nothing worth having is just given to us, we must Earn It! I am very Blessed to spend time with these men.
