Imagine being in prison with Christmas just around the corner, and you have nothing coming from friends or family. Also picture having no hygiene products! This ministry, along with Mercy Outreach and City Takers have come together once again to put together the funds for 750 hygiene packs, which also includes Helms Medical. I must also mention Ms. Dottie, who has been doing prison ministry for too many years to count, plays a huge role, along with Ms. Sue at Mercy Outreach to handle the organizing of all of the help and folks that give us the deals to make these hygiene packs a reality.
We put together 603 last Thursday with the help of many hands. We then loaded up 350 and Greg Avery and I transported those to Clayton Transitional Center. We then headed back to City Takers, loaded another 200, and I took those to Phillips Transitional Center Friday morning. The men that helped us unload these at both places were shocked at the amount of stuff and that we had enough for Every Resident! God helped raise this money, put the right people together, and made way for safe passage to deliver these to the men. I am too Blessed to participate, but I wouldn't take any job over this work!
Here are a few pics.

Here we are, 22 days from Christmas and it has been a few months since my last post. I cannot currently visit any facilities, but I have been busy. I get several calls each week from men that are out of prison. We talk about what they are doing, how they are dealing with any issues, and if there is anything I can help them with.
I recently talked with Andrew who has been free for over 5 years now. Since his release he finished his undergrad degree and has also completed two Master's Degrees! This shows that we All deserve a 2nd chance. I know God has given me more that that!!
I partner with several other ministries, but I work very closely with Mercy Outreach and Chaplain Sue DeBord. We are raising funds for and purchasing 15 items for each hygiene bag. We are doing a total of 750 hygiene bags for Clayton TC, Phillips TC, and Helms Medical. We are putting the bags together next week, and we will deliver them to each facility Friday December 11th, 2020. We may not be allowed to visit the men, but we can most certainly show them Christ by helping with much needed supplies right before Christmas. If you would like to donate you can go to:
helponesaveone.net, click on the store button, and choose a box with whatever amount. All of the funds will go towards paying for these 750 hygiene bags! God Bless!
