This past saturday I took 7 men from Clayton Transitional Center to Dugout men's group and then to community service with my long time partner Joe and Elva at Eyes of Love Lighthouse Mission. Dugout was different this time, instead of sitting at table, we put chairs in a circle and allowed the men from the TC to talk about how Dugout and Help One Save One has helped them in their last stage of prison and soon to be reentry back into society. They told wonderful stories of how we have helped them walk through some issues to ease their minds in preparation for reentry. Georgia is last in the US in every corrections category, we want to help these men get out, and stay out. We then worked for about 2.5 hours at the mission and then had fellowship over pizza. God is Good! Here is a pic of the volunteers, which included 6 new folks!
